If you remove the handle from the adz blade and fit the blade with a pole or shaft, you can use it like a pestle to carve the insides of large sculptures. PRESS THIS BUTTON TO RETURN TO THE PREVIOUS PAGE

In this example the adz blade and pole serve as the pestle the sculpture becomes a mortar. This method becomes very useful when carving canoes, stools, veranda posts and other large objects with areas hard to reach. Previous Page
